MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song for the year 2017. In 2017, he released ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia was which was released in the year 2020, by Noriel and her Dopamina album the following year. In 2021 he recorded a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are both musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has declared that music is an essential part of his life. As a child he learned to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. While his initial career goal was that of a veterinarian for animals, his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with a Cuban. This revolutionized his entire life.
